This simple tasty dish is perfect for a cold winter evening for the whole family. Serve with cheesy mash potato and fresh winter vegetables.
INGREDIENTS
1.8kg Stewing Steak - Cliffe Bank Beef
450g chopped onions
2 tsp ground ginger
75g plain flour
4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp curry powder
1 tbsp dark muscovado sugar
900ml beef stock
4 tbsp horseradish sauce
Fresh chopped parsley to garnish
METHOD
Gently heat the meat in a very large heatproof casserole dish until fat runs freely.
Add onions, curry powder, ginger, sugar and flour and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in beef stock, Worcestershire sauce and season.
Cover and simmer gently for 2 hours until tender
When ready for serve, stir in horseradish sauce and turn into a warm serving dish.
Garnish with fresh parsley.
